Alessandra Capuano – BA in Architecture, MA in Historic Preservation, PHD and Post-doc – is Full Professor of Architecture at Sapienza. Master Director “Architecture for Archaeology. Design for the enhancement of Cultural Heritage”. President of 5 years Degree in Architecture. Coordinator PHD in Landscape and Environment. Associated at Chaire UNESCO en environnement et paysage, Université de Montréal. Director of the LaGraTe Lab: urban design, landscape, archaeology, metropolis. Grants “Archaeological landscapes” (PRIN 2009), “Life styles and city of the Future” (Award 2013, Multidisciplinary Research 2014, PRIN 2015). Author of 5 monographies, 6 editorships and more than 50 essays: The Park and the City. The territory of Appia in the future of Rome (2013), Landscape of Ruins, Ruined Landscapes (2014), Rome’s Appia: Ruins Utopia Design (2017).
Anna Giovannelli is architect and Professor of Architectural Design at the Faculty of Architecture of Sapienza University of Rome. She’s PHd in Architectural and Urban Design at the Milan Polytechnic in 1998, where she taught Architectural Design from 1999 to 2005. She has been lecturer in international architectural and urban design workshops at Sapienza, at Politecnico di Milano and at FAULT in Lisbon. Since 2015 she has been Coordinator of the International Master of Architecture for Archaeology Workshop. Cultural heritage enhancement projects. She’s author of papers about modern and contemporary architecture, including: Il progetto storico oltre confine. Manfredo Tafuri negli Stati Uniti (2019); Percorsi lenti. Attraversamenti e riusi di ferrovie abbandonate (2018); Archeologia del bello (2018); Reuse of the existing: teaching and theoretical investigations (2018). She both carries out design research at the DiAP – Dipartimento di Architettura e Progetto of Sapienza and takes part to national and international design competitions.
